Why are so many people scared of bugs?
What did this lesson make you curious about? What other questions do you have about bugs?
A million different kinds of crawling, many-legged “bugs” live on Earth. Next time you see a “bug” crawling around, take a closer look. If you like, put a clear glass or cup over it first. Draw and color a picture of it. Look at the shape of the body. Check for wings. Count its legs. Insects have six legs. Spiders have eight. Centipedes and millipedes have too many to count! What kind of “bug” do you think it is? You can keep a “bug” journal and make drawings of all the different kinds you find!
