Here are some writing prompts to help students reflect on the mini-lesson. Feel free to copy and paste them into an assignment.

1. Can animals get a sunburn? Why do you think that?
2. What did this lesson make you curious about? What other questions do you have?

Bonus Activity: Suppose you don’t have any sunscreen. How can you protect yourself from the Sun? What ideas do you have? Think about all the different ways that animals protect themselves from the sun. Do these give you any ideas of how to prevent a sunburn? Describe or draw a picture of your ideas.
